The app

Sakhi is a free app by OMSR Technologies, India, for tracking your cycle and wellbeing and for asking trusted people for help. It is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available".

Not an emergency service

Sakhi is not a replacement for the police, an ambulance or emergency services, and is not connected to them. It does not call 112 or any helpline for you; at most it opens your dial pad so you can call. In any emergency, call 112 yourself if you can.

No guarantee it will work

Guardian Mode can miss real screams or words, and can raise false alarms. SOS messages and location can fail or be delayed because of no network, no SMS balance, airplane mode, low battery, battery savers, denied permissions, the phone being switched off, inaccurate GPS, or a mistake in a contact's number. Test it, keep permissions on, and don't rely on Sakhi as your only safety plan.

Your responsibilities

Add only people who have agreed to be your emergency contacts, with correct numbers. Use SOS and helplines honestly: false emergency calls can be an offence. Keep your PIN private. You are responsible for SMS or call charges from your carrier.

Health information

Sakhi gives general information, not medical advice. Cycle, fertile window and due date predictions are estimates. Do not use them as contraception or to diagnose anything. Talk to a doctor about your health.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, OMSR Technologies is not liable for any harm, loss or damage arising from using or being unable to use Sakhi, including an alert that was not detected, sent, delivered or acted on, a false alarm, a wrong prediction, or lost data.

Open-source parts

Sakhi includes open-source software and models, listed with their licenses in Settings → Open-source licenses. Their licenses apply to those parts.

Ownership

The Sakhi name, design and code belong to OMSR Technologies. Don't copy, modify, resell or redistribute modified versions of the app. Download it only from omsrtech.com or a store we publish to.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. The latest terms are in the app and at omsrtech.com/sakhi/terms/. Continuing to use Sakhi means you accept them.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Contact: [email protected].

Health disclaimer

Please read this before relying on anything Sakhi shows you about your body.

Not medical advice

Articles, tips and predictions in Sakhi are general information. They are not a diagnosis, treatment or a substitute for a qualified doctor.

Predictions are estimates

Period, ovulation, fertile window and pregnancy week or due date are calculated from what you enter. Bodies vary, and these dates can be wrong.

Not contraception

Do not use Sakhi's fertile window or "safe days" to avoid pregnancy. It is not a birth control method.

See a doctor

See a doctor for very painful, heavy, missed or irregular periods, any pregnancy concern, or if you feel unwell. In a medical emergency call 108 or 112.
